Pastor Tim P. Blaisure – 7/03/22 – Morning Message

We so often grumble and complain about What we have or don’t have. We complain about our Nation and those in authority in the Public, Businesses, Owners of things that we do not have. It is time to do what the Word of God say’s so that true change can and will take place in our Nation, lives, and those around us. Complaining just causes things to get harder and points to the negative side of things. But doing things God’s way helps us to be satisfied for what we do have, for what God has already done, and focuses on the positive things, in this Nation of America and the people that are in authority, and have the power to make our lives miserable or good.

Foundation Scriptures:

1 Timothy 2:1-4 NKJV

“Therefore, I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,

2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.

3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,

4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

A. Supplications – Asking earnestly in humility of God.

Philippians 4:5-7

“Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.

6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

B. Prayers - A request for God to do something.

Romans 1:9

“For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of His Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers.”

C. Intercessions - Interceding, petitions in favor of another.

Romans 8:34

“Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.”

D. Giving of thanks – Expressing gratitude or appreciation to God.

Psalm 107:31

“Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness,

And for His wonderful works to the children of men!”

1. For all men (people),

2. For kings and Presidents

3. All who are in authority

Matthew 28:18-20

“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.”

A. A quiet life

1. In all godliness – be like Jesus – love the Lord / others.

2. In reverence – Deep respect for God / others.

B. A peaceable life:

1. In all godliness – living like Christ towards God / others.

2. In reverence – Respecting God’s ways / others.

C. Exchanging of Positions.

1. David – Took authority over Goliath – Israel took lead over the Philistines – He went from a boy to a leader.

2. Joseph – Took authority in his life.

- Slavery – Potiphar – second in authority.

- Prison – Head Jailer – over all in the prison.

- Prison – Pharaoh – Prime Minister of Egypt.

Romans 12:1-2

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

A. Good in the sight of God our Savior.

B. Acceptable in the sight of God our Savior.

John 3:16-17

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

A. All men to be saved

B. To come to the knowledge of the truth.

John 8:32

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Matthew 16:19

“And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Taking Authority, the right way with the right attitude changes everything.

1. Take them to God.

2. Receive what God tells you to do and see God exchange things.

3. Changes happen first in each of us, then in others and things.

4. Desire for God’s will for us and others begin to take charge.
