Pastor Tim P. Blaisure – 11/13/22 – Morning Message
Intro:
After dealing with the past, we can then focus in on our present. This is where we learn to set our priorities straight so that we can redeem the time that we have wasted in our past.
When we start living in the present then our lives will stay meaningful and full of joy, peace, and confidence in our Lord Jesus as we walk by faith and not by sight.
Foundation Scriptures:
Ephesians 1:3-9 / 19 - 23 NLT
“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.
4 Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.
5 God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.
6 So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son.
7 He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.
8 He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.
9 God has now revealed to us his mysterious will regarding Christ—which is to fulfill his own good plan.
19 I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power
20 that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms.
21 Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come.
22 God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church.
23 And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.
I. DEALING WITH OUR PAST:
II. DEALING WITH OUR PRESENT:
Matthew 6:34 KJV
“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”
Matthew 11:28-30
“Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
2 Corinthians 4:16
“For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.”
2 Timothy 1:7
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
Philippians 1:6
“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:”
Philippians 4:13
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
Philippians 4:19
“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
Hebrews 11:6
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
A. Present failures / sin / sickness.
B. Present Family issues.
C. Present accomplishments.
D. Present blessing/ salvation/ Baptism of the Holy Spirit/ Gifts that God has given us to enjoy now.
E. Present can stay under the blood.
III. DEALING WITH OUR FUTURE:
Conclusion:
Galatians 6:2-4 NLT
“Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.
3 If you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important.
4 Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else.”
When we live in the present day it is much easier to focus on others than yourself.
Worry, doubt, and fear of the past and the future doesn’t have a hold on us.
We live to please the Lord and love others as God has taught us to love ourselves and live in His grace and mercy every day.
Living by faith: covers His Mercy is new every morning, He is supplying all of the needs for that day, giving us His gifts and fruit of the Spirit for that day, and instructing us to live life to the fullest each day in the present and live like this is the day He is coming back!
