12.   Today: HARVEST TIME IS NOT WASTED TIME:

Foundation Scriptures:

Matthew 9:36-38 NKJV

36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.

37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.

38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

Joel 2:23-29 NLT

“Rejoice, you people of Jerusalem!    Rejoice in the Lord your God!For the rain he sends demonstrates his faithfulness.    Once more the autumn rains will come,    as well as the rains of spring.24 The threshing floors will again be piled high with grain,    and the presses will overflow with new wine and olive oil.

25 The Lord says, “I will give you back what you lost    to the swarming locusts, the hopping locusts, the stripping locusts, and the cutting locusts.     It was I who sent this great destroying army against you.26 Once again you will have all the food you want,    and you will praise the Lord your God,who does these miracles for you.    Never again will my people be disgraced.27 Then you will know that I am among my people Israel,    that I am the Lord your God, and there is no other.    Never again will my people be disgraced.

28 “Then, after doing all those things,    I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. (Spiritual Harvest)Your sons and daughters will prophesy.    Your old men will dream dreams,    and your young men will see visions.

29 In those days I will pour out my Spirit    even on servants—men and women alike.”

I.               IT IS TIME FOR A SPIRITUAL HARVEST:

John 4:34-36

“Then Jesus explained: “My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work.

35 You know the saying, ‘Four months between planting and harvest.’ But I say, wake up and look around. The fields are already ripe for harvest.

36 The harvesters are paid good wages, and the fruit they harvest is people brought to eternal life. What joy awaits both the planter and the harvester alike!”

A.  The Harvest from the Word of God is people ready to receive Salvation and to follow Jesus in a personal relationship. (Personal)

B.  The Harvest from the Spirit of God is for People (Family)

C.  The Harvest from the Spirit of God is for People

( here and the rest of the world)

II.            IT IS TIME FOR A SOUL HARVEST:

1 Corinthians 2:15-16

“Those who are spiritual can evaluate all things, but they themselves cannot be evaluated by others.

16 For, “Who can know the Lord’s thoughts?    Who knows enough to teach him?”

But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ.

A.  THE HARVEST OF GETTING THE MIND OF CHRIST.

2.   Change in the thought life.

Philippians 4:8

“And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”

B.  THE HARVEST OF LIVING THE WILL OF GOD:

Living the Word of God -sanctified.

C.  THE HARVEST OF EMOTIONAL HEALTH: (feelings)

“He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness

For His name’s sake.”

1.   God restores our emotions to the right emotions.

2.   God restores our Conscience.

3.   God restores our personality.

III.          IT IS TIME FOR A PHYSICAL HARVEST:

Luke 6:38

“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

Matthew 13:23 NKJV

“But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

A.  IT IS TIME FOR A HARVEST OF HEALTH AND FINANCES: (Personally)

B.  IT IS TIME FOR A HARVEST OF HEALTH AND FINANCES: (Family)

C.  IT IS TIME FOR A HARVEST OF HEALTH AND FINANCES: (Nationally)

Conclusion:

“Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.

38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
