HEMLINE FAITH

JUST A TOUCH IN FAITH

Pastor Tim P. Blaisure – 02/19/23 – Morning Message

Intro:

Have yo

u ever been so sick and in such pain that you would give or do anything for relief?

What if you had all the money, you ever wanted but you were always sick and could not enjoy that wealth?

There are many that have and are seeking relief physically, emotionally, spiritually, financially, and socially that have tried everything only to be left empty and alone.

When you come to the end of yourself, and the pleasures of this world then will you listen to what Jesus has to say to you?

Foundation Scriptures:

Matthew 9:20-22 NLT

“Just then a woman who had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding came up behind him (Jesus). She touched the fringe of his robe,

21 for she thought, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.”

22 Jesus turned around, and when he saw her, he said, “Daughter, be encouraged! Your faith has made you well.” And the woman was healed at that moment.”

“So, then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Matthew 14:35-36 NLT

“When the people recognized Jesus, the news of his arrival spread quickly throughout the whole area, and soon people were bringing all their sick to be healed.

36 They begged him to let the sick touch at least the fringe of his robe, and all who touched him were healed.”

B. She said to herself – if I can touch just the hem of His robe I will be healed.

C. When she went and touched the hem of His robe – change.

D. Jesus recognized the faith touch and stopped for her.

E. Jesus encouraged her because of her faith and not only was she healed but was made whole. (nothing missing – nothing broken)

Conclusion:

· Are you at the end of your rope with physical sickness, emotional sickness, spiritual sickness (without Jesus or in confusion), social sickness – tried everything and everyone without satisfaction, and financial sickness – living in constant lack, everything broken, and never getting ahead.

· Today is the day to say to yourself, “ I heard what Jesus has done and I am sick of staying where I am and I am ready to reach out and touch Jesus.

· Jesus is waiting for you to touch Him in faith so He can encourage you with the Word of God, and with the result of healing, but He won’t stop there He wants to make you completely whole.

1 John 1:8-10 NKJV

“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.”
