AND THE I’s HAVE IT
Pastor Tim P. Blaisure – 8/06/23 – Morning Message
Intro:
The I’s are those who have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb and His righteousness flows through their lives in such a way that they are totally transformed into the image of their Creator.
The (I’s) are in such a position that instead of walking in loss and destruction they walk in a position of great blessing and possessing everything that the Lord has put in front of them. Are you one of the I’s?
Foundation Scriptures:
Psalm 119:1-6 AMPC
“Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are the undefiled (the upright, truly sincere, and blameless) in the way [of the revealed will of God], who walk (order their conduct and conversation) in the law of the Lord (the whole of God’s revealed will).
2 Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are they who keep His testimonies, and who seek, inquire for and of Him and crave Him with the whole heart.
3 Yes, they do no unrighteousness [no willful wandering from His precepts]; they walk in His ways.
4 You have commanded us to keep Your precepts, that we should observe them diligently.
5 Oh, that my ways were directed and established to observe Your statutes [hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying them]!
6 Then shall I not be put to shame [by failing to inherit Your promises] when I have respect to all Your commandments.”
A DECISION (I) MUST MAKE
Psalm 119:7-18 AMPC
· I will praise and give thanks to You with uprightness of heart when
· I learn [by sanctified experiences] Your righteous judgments [Your decisions against and punishments for particular lines of thought and conduct].
· I will keep Your statutes; O forsake me not utterly.
9 How shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed and keeping watch [on himself] according to Your word [conforming his life to it].
· With my whole heart have I sought You, inquiring for and of You and yearning for You; Oh, let me not wander or step aside [either in ignorance or willfully] from Your commandments.
· Your word have I laid up in my heart,
· That I might not sin against You.
12 Blessed are You, O Lord; teach me Your statutes.
· With my lips have I declared and recounted all the ordinances of Your mouth.
· I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies as much as in all riches.
· I will meditate on Your precepts and have respect to Your ways [the paths of life marked out by Your law].
· I will delight myself in Your statutes;
· I will not forget Your word.
17 Deal bountifully with Your servant, that
· I may live; and (Live and not die)
· I will observe Your word [hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying it].
Conclusion:
18 Open my eyes,
that I may behold wondrous things out of Your law.”
If you are not an (I – Believer) yet today is the perfect time to become one.
If you are an (I -Believe) and have not been experiencing all that we have talked about today, then it is time to tap into your new nature that is in your spirit and live up to all that He has set up for each and every one of us.
Matthew 22:37-40 NLT
37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’
38 This is the first and greatest commandment.
39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
40 The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”
Remembering our Lord Jesus through Communion today is a reminder of all that He did for you and Me and that through Him is life abundance here and life eternal after death of these earthly bodies.
