IT IS TIME TO SOW SEED

S

OWING TIME IS NOT WASTED TIME

Pastor Tim P. Blaisure – 12/10/23 – Morning Message

Intro:

We are in the Christmas season, and many are looking for what they will receive for Christmas, and many have already given others their wish list. I believe this is the Season of giving just like God our Father sent Jesus as His Son in the form of baby Jesus giving all humankind away to be redeemed from this sinful and hopeless life to becoming a part of the family of God. Remember the things we have already gone over that are not wasted time like:

1.   Waiting Time is not wasted Time.

2.   Studying Time is not wasted Time.

3.   Praying Time is not wasted time.

4.   Praising Time is not wasted time.

5.   Memorizing Time is not wasted time.

6.   Family Time is not wasted Time.

7.   Believing Time is not wasted Time.

8.   Thanksgiving time is not wasted time

9.   Encouraging time is not wasted time.

10.   Communion time is not wasted time.

11.   Today: SOWING TIME IS NOT WASTED TIME.

Sowing – to plant a seed with the intension of it growing and producing.

Jesus was planted on this earth as a seed from the Father. He gave His Son to grow and produce a family.

Foundation Scriptures:

Matthew 13:3-9 NKJV

“Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: “Behold, a sower went out to sow.

4 And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them.

5 Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth.

6 But when the sun was up, they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away.

7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them.

8 But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

9 He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

Galatians 6:7

“ Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.”

Mark 11:23-24

“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”

Matthew 7:7-8

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”

Luke 6:38

“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

I.               TIME TO SOW SEED SPIRITUALLY:

Luke 8:11

“Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.”

A.  Sow seeds of the Word of God.

B.  Sow seeds of the Spirit of God.

1.   Fruit of the Spirit.

2.   Gifts of the Spirit.

C.  Sow seeds from your eternal life (inner person)

II.            TIME TO SOW SEED INTO THE SOUL:

Romans 12:2

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

A.  Sow seeds into your mind and others through renewing it.

1.   Reading and studying the Word of God.

2.   Watching wholesome shows and pod casts.

3.   Listening to uplifting music.

B.  Sow seeds into your will by learning God’s will.

C.  Sow seeds into your emotions through learning good emotions.

III.          TIME TO SOW SEED PHYSICALLY:

A.  Sow seeds of time into God’s work and into others’ lives.

B.  Sow seeds of finances into God’s work.

Luke 6:38

“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

1.   Tithes – seed of covenant – Abrahams seed.

2.   Offerings – Giving to the poor, Orphan’s, widows.

3.   First Fruits – the first of all your increase – secures your growth now and into the future.

C.  Sow seeds of blessings into others as you are blessed.

Conclusion:

Deuteronomy 30:19

“I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore, choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;”

We are made in the image of God, so, just like God is three in one we are three in one.

This is why we can’t just waste time in ignoring that the right seed needs to be sowed into our:

Spirit – the part of us that has new birth when we are saved by the blood of Jesus.

Soul – (Mind, will, and emotions) we need to take time and renew this part of us by digging up the bad and sowing seeds that are right and Godly and that steer us towards God instead of away from God.

Body – (Physical) The part of us that is worldly and has sinful intentions all the time. This is why we need to sow seeds Financially, time wise, and intentionally bring our bodies under the control of the Spirit.

What we sow we will reap! And what we get back is always more than we sow.

What you do not sow you cannot expect to receive!

2 Corinthians 9:6-8

“But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:”
