VISION TIME IS NOT WASTED TIME

Intro:

Review last week: Introduction to VISION TIME

Physical: Vision

1.   Normal : 20/20 – See clearly good near and far.

2.   Near sited – See clearly close up but blurry father out.

3.   Far sited – See blurry up close but clearly father away.

4.   Blindness – Can’t see near or far away.

5.   Exceptional – Very clear site near and father than most.

Spiritual: Vision

1.   Normal – see clearly what the Word of God says and understand it normally for the moment and the future.

2.   Near sited – See clearly only what is in the Word of God at the moment.

3.   Far sited – See for the moment blurry and what is far away clearly.

4.   Blindness – Can’t see at all or very blurry now and in the future.

5.   Exceptional – See clearly through the eyes of the Holy Spirit and your renewed spirit in the Word of God and revelation for now and the future, and the very far future.

Foundation Scriptures:

Habakkuk 2:2 NKJV

“Then the Lord answered me and said:

“Write the visionAnd make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.”

Proverbs 29:18 KJV

“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”

Proverbs 29:18 AMPC

“Where there is no vision [no redemptive revelation of God], the people perish; but he who keeps the law [of God, which includes that of man]—blessed (happy, fortunate, and enviable) is he.”

Proverbs 29:18 NIV

“ Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint;    but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction.”

John 16:13 NIV

“But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide (shew, reveal, open your eyes to) you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come(revelation information).”

I.                     PERSONAL VISION TIME:

A. EXAMPLE: ABRAM

1.   PERSONAL VISION OF WHERE TO GO:

Genesis 12:1-3 NKJV

12 Now the Lord had said to Abram:

“Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house to a land that I will show you.

2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing.

3 I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you;

And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

2.    ABRAHAMS PERSONAL PROBLEM AND GOD’S VISION TO SOLVE IT:

·      Had no son with Sarah to carry on his lineage.

·      God promised him a son and gave him a vision – revelation.

·      Look up, count the stars, and count the sand on the seashore, this is how numerous you family will be.

·      Time is no problem with God, what seems impossible is possible with God.

·      In Abrahams old age and Sarahs they were given a son Issacc.

B.  GOD WANTS US TO EACH HAVE A SPIRITUAL VISION (REVELATION):

1.   PERSONAL VISION OF WHERE TO GO:

·      We need to ask the Lord to remove all spiritual blindness and to give us exceptional vision of His future for each of us personally.

Luke 6:39

“And He spoke a parable to them: “Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into the ditch?”

Matthew 20:32-34

“So, Jesus stood still and called them, and said, “What do you want Me to do for you?”

33 They said to Him, “Lord, that our eyes may be opened.”

34 So Jesus had compassion and touched their eyes. And immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him.”

·      He wants to open our spiritual eyes as well.

·      Without vision (revelation of the future) we each will lose hope and perish.

 ‘Acts 22:12-14 Saul - Paul

“Then a certain Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good testimony with all the Jews who dwelt there,

13 came to me; and he stood and said to me, Brother Saul, receive your sight.’ And at that same hour I looked up at him.

14 Then he said, ‘The God of our fathers has chosen you that you should know His will, and see the Just One, and hear the voice of His mouth.

2.   OUR PERSONAL PROBLEM AND GOD’S VISION TO SOLVE IT:

Acts 26:17-18

“I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you,

18 to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’”

·      Time is short and Jesus is coming soon.

·      We each need a vision (revelation) of Jesus soon return and what we are to do.

·      We each need a vision that Jesus explained to us in:

John 14:1-3

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

Mark 16:15

“ And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”

Conclusion:

In Christ Jesus we have divine hope and truth, through the Holy Spirit we can have our spiritual eyes open to the truth and revelation of a great future. Allow Him to give you a personal revelation of Him.

What is your state of vision spiritually today?

·      Blindness - unsaved, running from God, backslidden from God.

·      Near sited – saved, but can only see what God has for you at the moment.

·      Far sighted – saved, but have a hard time seeing clearly God’s promises for the moment, but believes that it will come to past down the road.

·      Normal – Saved, filled with the Holy Spirit, see clearly your now and future through the Holy Spirit and His Word and are living a good life as a follower of Jesus Christ.

·      Extraordinary – Saved, sanctified, filled with the Holy Spirit, can see better than normal through your spirit, the Holy Spirit, and the Word of God, a very personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and have the Gifts of the Holy Spirit functioning in your life freely.
