8. Today: THANKSGIVING TIME IS NOT WASTED TIME
Unthankful – Not feeling or showing pleasure, relief, or gratitude. Ceasing to acknowledge God and to be thankful for His abundant blessings.
Thankful – Pleased and relieved, expressing gratitude. The ability to show thanks for the things you have and the things you’re grateful for.
Thanksgiving – the expression of gratitude, especially to God.
We are not just talking about Thanksgiving Day but the act of Thanksgiving every day of your life and the difference it will make. Instead of being a person who complains about everything and blames every bad thing that happens to them on someone else.
Foundation Scriptures:
Psalm 100:3-5 KJV
“Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter into his gates WITH THANKSGIVING, and into his courts with praise: BE THANKFUL UNTO HIM AND BLESS HIS NAME.
5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”
2 Corinthians 4:14-16 NLT
“We know that God, who raised the Lord Jesus, will also raise us with Jesus and present us to himself together with you.
15 All of this is for your benefit. And as God’s grace reaches more and more people, there will BE GREAT THANKSGIVING, and God will receive more and more glory.
16 That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day.”
Revelation 7:11-14 NLT
“And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living beings. And they fell before the throne with their faces to the ground and worshiped God.
12 They sang,
“Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and THANKSGIVING and honor and power and strength belong to our God forever and ever! Amen.”
13 Then one of the twenty-four elders asked me, “Who are these who are clothed in white? Where did they come from?”
14 And I said to him, “Sir, you are the one who knows.”
Then he said to me, “These are the ones who died in[a] the great tribulation. They have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb and made them white.
