Intro:
What is it about being a believer in Jesus Christ that is different from all other beliefs and religions, and gods of this world?
What is it about having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ?
What is it about knowing the truth so that it can and will set you free?
What is the difference between hoping in something and really believing in the One and the true God of the universe.
FAITH is the difference between what is true and what is false.
FAITH is the difference between getting a healing and miracle and not.
Foundation Scriptures:
Mark 5:27-34 NKJV
“When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment.
28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”
29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.
30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?”
31 But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ”
32 And He looked around to see her who had done this thing.
33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came, and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.
34 And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be healed of your affliction.”
TO BE IN THE POSITION FOR A MIRACLE WE NEED TO:
I. SAY IT:
· 28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”
· She SAID to herself (If I will touch His clothes – I will be made well)
· POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE WORDS – it is according to what you say to yourself and others that is what you get.
· She could have said there is no use and died that way.
· But she made a Positive statement – and it came to pass.
· Faith works two ways – Positive or Negative Faith both work.
II. DO IT:
· James 2:14, 18, 22
14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?
18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect?
· It would not have done her any good if all she did was say it.
· Your actions defeat you or put you over the top.
· You receive or your kept from receiving by your actions.
· Faith without actions is dead and nothing will happen.
· Your actions must match what you are saying and believing.
· This woman said if I touch His clothes then she went and did it.
III. RECEIVE IT:
· 29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.
30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?”
· Jesus was the only representative of the power of God available at that time.
· Today we have the Holy Spirit at work on the earth. He is everywhere and wherever the Holy Spirit is, there is power.
· There is the power to heal and that sets people free, that is the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.
· When she said it, did it, then she received her healing.
· This Power of healing in every area of life comes through faith that is spoken, acted on, and received – this is true faith, and the world needs it.
IV. TELL IT:
Psalm 102:1-2
· “ Hear my prayer, O Lord, and let my cry come to You.
2 Do not hide Your face from me in the day of my trouble;
Incline Your ear to me; in the day that I call, answer me speedily.”
· Jesus heard her tell Him what happened.
· The crowd heard her tell what happened.
· When we get What we have said about the Word of God, did what the Word said, and received what the Word said we would receive then there is always a forth step to take.
· This is what water baptism is all about, You confessed and believe in the Lord Jesus, you stepped out and became a believer, you received your salvation, and water baptism is the tell part of your salvation to everyone around – you are not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Conclusion:
Romans 1:16-17
“16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
