WHAT IS THERE
TO BE THANKFUL FOR?
Pastor Tim P. Blaisure – 11/20/22 – Evening Message
Thanksgiving is not the only time of the year we should focus on being thankful. It should however cause us to really evaluate the past year and see where we came from, where we are, and where we are going.
Remember what Jesus did for all of us and the plan that He has for each and everyone.
Revelation 7:11-12 NLT
11 And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living beings. And they fell before the throne with their faces to the ground and worshiped God.
12 They sang,
“Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength belong to our God forever and ever! Amen.”
20 And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
28 Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe.
I. WHAT IS THERE TO BE THANKFUL FOR?
A. We are alive!
B. We have Jesus as our Savior.
C. We have food to eat.
D. We have clothes to wear.
E. We have a roof over our heads.
F. We have hope in our Lord Jesus soon return.
G. We are receiving a kingdom that is unshakable.
II. WHERE SHOULD WE BE THANKFUL?
A. In our hearts.
B. In our homes.
C. In our church.
D. In our jobs or businesses.
E. In our family.
F. In our marriages.
G. In our relationships.
III. HOW SHOULD WE BE THANKFUL?
A. With our mouths. (speak, shout, sing)
B. With our hands. (clap, and play instruments)
C. With our feet. (walking, marching, running)
D. With our lives. (living thankfulness, in public and private)
E. With our Minds (thoughts, meditation, studying)
F. With our Spirits. (from the inside out, through the Holy Spirit)
G. With each other.
Thankfulness is not something we have, where we are, or even how we do it. It is not a one-time thing. Thankfulness is to be from the inside out and should be a part of our attitudes and atmosphere when and wherever we are.
Thankfulness should spread from us like wildfire and consume everyone and everything around us.
